I have a passion for helping people, especially kids. I play football for a living but I don't define myself by what I do for a living but how much good I can do for my fellow man. Sometimes it costs us nothing to help someone, so why not. Things are not for getting, they are for giving.
As a community leader and philanthropist Desmond founded 88 Wayz - a non-profit mentoring, in school program - to show his commitment to enhancing the educational, spiritual, physical, mental, political, social, and community growth of today's youth.
Desmond’s assists youth in realizing their dreams and reaching their full potential by mentoring, motivating, and developing the confidence needed to achieve and become productive adults.
The foundation utilized TALKS Mentoring an innovative, cognitive-behavioral approach to youth mentoring that focuses on leadership skill development through peer-to-peer and youth-adult interactions.

Our school is forever indebted to Desmond Clark and his 88 Wayz mentoring program. 88 Wayz has literally changed the lives of many students. The research shows that if a student can have at least 1 positive role model in their lives then there is a 80% better chance for that student to be a successful and productive citizen in our society. There is something about community mentors investing their time with our most precious natural resource which is our youth. Things begin to change and the students begin to believe in themselves again and become fruitful in their daily lives. What opportunity for the students of our school. I would highly recommend 88 Wayz to any school who wants to create a culture of positive change within their school community because we know it takes a village to raise up a student.
